I am a designer/maker and artist based in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A.  Trained as a landscape architect, I have conducted an independent study of textile processes, particularly surface design on cloth, for the past 20 years.  My explorations have led to work with a variety of textile print, resist and stitch processes, as well as traditional and laminated (“nuno”) felting for both wearable and non-wearable applications.  Beyond the world of applied craft, I build 3-dimensional structures which are fiber-based and have their theoretical “roots” in the fibrous interfaces created by plants and animals for protection, nourishment and transformation.  In addition to designing and producing textiles and fiber art, I have taught workshops and presented since 2009 on a number textile and fiber-related topics, including nuno felting and other slow textile techniques.  View more:  CVBiographical SketchesAbout The Work
