Working With Indigo

A week-long “art camp” offered through the Michael C. Carlos Museum’s education department. June, 2022 Work included resist-dyeing (with mechanical resists and a resist paste, immersion dyeing, as well as painting on cloth and paper with bound pigment. We also had a visit and presentation from Atlanta Artist Charmaine Minniefield whose painting series, Indigo Prayers, is currently (through September 2022) on exhibition at the Carlos Museum. It was an amazing week!
